Dr. Patricia Quinn is presenting a Keynote Session at this year's Virtual AD/HD Conference. An audience favorite, Dr. Quinn is skilled at communicating detailed information and advanced strategies in a way that is easy to understand and absorb. She also has a real knack for tuning into some of the less-talked about topics that people with AD/HD most *want* to talk about! She's been a pioneer in the study of AD/HD in relation to gender differences, hormones, and eating disorders.
This year, Dr. Quinn has prepared a lively and uplifting talk called "Change Your Perspective for Success with AD/HD." It's a must-attend session for both adults with AD/HD, and parents of AD/HD children.
As Dr. Quinn says, AD/HD is comprised of a varied set of traits, some of which are highly adaptive when applied in the right circumstances. Successful living with AD/HD means learning to manage the downside and take advantage of the upside of AD/HD. By viewing your problems and failures through the lens of a real neurobiological disorder, and seeing these issues in the larger context of strengths and weaknesses instead of blaming yourself, you often gain a sense of relief. Instead of perceiving your problems as unchangeable, you finally can accept who you are and exchange hope for hopelessness and compassion for criticism.
In this session, you'll:
• Learn how challenging your ingrained ways of thinking is essential to
changing your self-perception
• Find out why adults with AD/HD are often their own harshest critics
• Discover how to live an "AD/HD-friendly lifestyle"

I love Pat Quinn! I met her at the Chadd conference many years ago and she was the sweetest and warmest person. I asked her about menopause and my ADD because I was diagnosed with ADD in menopause and I didn't believe it was ADD that I had. (Even though my son has it and that I was certain of.) Pat answered my questions and was kind to me. After that conference I understood how I had ADD my whole life and didn't ever know it. I am coming to the virtual conference and will be attending Pat Quinn's session! Thank you Pat!
